Raise your hand if trying to take a photo of your toddler makes you want to pull out your hair.
Maybe you’re one of the lucky ones who has a quiet 2 year old. If so, you are extremely blessed and should thank your lucky stars. Also, I might hate you just a tiny bit.
If you have a rambunctious toddler like I do, take comfort in knowing that all hope is not lost! It is possible to get a good photo. Even on your phone!
Turning one is a huge milestone in a baby's life. Of course, you want this documented! What better way to celebrate than with an adorable Smash & Splash session? Not a big fan of the cake smash due to all the sugar? There are plenty of other fun messes to be had! From spaghetti to edible "paint" (typically yogurt with food coloring mixed in), there are plenty of options to accommodate your little one's first birthday!
Have you had the chance to explore Larsen Lake Blueberry Farm in Bellevue? I took the kids there this week to do some blueberry picking. Of course, being the family photographer that I am, I couldn't resist bring the camera a long to capture some fun lifestyle photos of the kids.
As a photographer, working with local Seattle teens is a dream. They're still young enough that they still embody innocence. Yet they're old enough that they take directions so well. A welcome breath of fresh air after trying to get both of my little ones to model for me. 😂
When I first moved to Bellevue, I didn't expect Seattle to be as culturally diverse as California. I am so very glad that I was wrong. I just love seeing all of the cultural diversity this area has to offer!
As a boy mom, I get a little giddy when I have the opportunity to photograph other boys. I think maybe it's because I feel a little like I'm glimpsing into my children's futures.
The S&S contest is an enormous photo contest. I mean enormous! There were over 413k photos submitted this year from 160 countries! Seriously guys. Wow!
Fifty of those 413k photos were mine. I'm not going to share all fifty with you, but I will share my best performing photos.
I absolutely love how culturally diverse Seattle is. When I had the opportunity to photograph children representing their heritage, there was no question that this was something I absolutely wanted to do! First up is Violet, representing the country of Belarus.
Are you as excited for cherry blossom season as I am? I've been stalking the University of Washington's live quad cam, and it's predicted they'll be in full bloom in just about a week! Last year I was lucky enough to photograph this adorable family during the full bloom.Despite the crowds, we were able to get some great shots!
It's hard to believe that Baby J is already a year old. And now he is walking, climbing, jumping, and getting into everything! I suppose it's time to stop calling him Baby J.
