One of my favorite things to do with my family is go on adventures. Now, they're not epic adventures like Frodo's out of the Shire (nerd alert!), but they're always fun!
One of our most recent adventures took us to Luther Burbank Park on the North End of Mercer Island. This park is pretty amazing! It has something for everyone. We spent the majority of the time at the main playground where Little M had a blast. There was so much for him to do there, including a merry-go-round, tunnel, and plenty of things to I'm not sure if he enjoyed the plethora of slides or the zip line more!
From a photographer's standpoint, this place is serious eye candy. There are plenty of wetlands, trails, docks, murals, sculptures, gardens, and several really cool buildings. As a mom, I couldn't ask for a better park. There's the aforementioned main playground, a small toddler lot featuring a fire truck, and swim beach. And for everyone else, there are tennis courts, picnic areas, and a dog park. This place really does have everything.
If you have never had the chance to explore this park, I highly encourage you to do so. Since it's only a 10 minute drive from our home in Bellevue, I know we'll be back many times in the near future. And if you're looking for a family photographer in East Seattle, I would be thrilled to take your family photos at Luther Burbank park! I can't wait to hear from you!
