Meet Ray.

He's not a superhero.

He's not perfect.

But he is a good dad.

Often there is this notion that dads go off to work, come home, eat dinner, and relax while moms feed, bathe, and put the kids to bed. This is not the case with Ray. When he comes home from work, the first thing he does is play with the boys. More often than not, this involves kids flying through the air or swinging upside down. These boys are little daredevils!

After playtime, Ray then gives baby J his bath. This is a relatively quick task... until it's time to dress him. This kid just will not stay still. I swear getting him changed takes just as long as getting him clean does! Ray hands off baby J to me for bedtime while he then gives little M his bath. This is a much more involved process, as little M needs to play with everything, including the shower head! Ray makes sure that little M's teeth are brushed and that he has gone potty before bed.

After bath comes story time for little M. The three of us take turns reading books for bedtime. And of course, more acrobatics are involved. Unfortunately for Ray, bedtime acrobatics often result in him getting hit in the family jewels. I joke that we need a sign in our house citing the number of days since the last incident. I'm pretty sure it will always say 0 days! 馃槀

Have I mentioned that he's a good dad?

Because he's so great with our kids, it was easy to capture some great moments during this year's Father's Day photo session. As a wife and mom, I absolutely love the genuine connection between my husband and our boys in these photos. I can't wait to get these photos hanging up on our walls, and I know that our kids will appreciate having these photos when they have children of their own.

If your'e searching for a family photographer in the Seattle area, don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you!
